Whats the point of a doing a promotion if no one remembers it?

One of the best promotions I ever received came from Net-A-Porter (an on-line designer store that I would highly recommend).  Packaged in pristine black gift box and tied perfectly with an off-white bow, was my fabulous new Anna Sui dress (love!). Honestly, I would have been happy with just the box (and the dress)... but nestled deep in the package was a tiny vellum envelope containing a small black tape measure and a measuring chart/guide.  Such a great idea, since most people have no clue what their measurements really are!  That was several years ago and I still carry one of my two tape measures in my purse (okay, so I enjoy shopping).


Sometimes it's hard to find an affordable and effective tradeshow giveaway.
